Food Sensitivity Testing

The Mediator Release Test (MRT) is the best food sensitivity test on the planet! How can I say that? Because the MRT measures the release of mediators (cytokines, histamine, leukotrienes, prostaglandins, etc.) in your bloodstream, and it is the mediators that eventually cause some type of an inflammatory response (like digestive issues, muscle or joint pain, hives, etc.). Other food sensitivity tests only measure IgG or IgA, which are immune complexes that do not reliably correlate with inflammation or symptoms.

Results

LEAP Logo After reviewing your MRT results, you can decide when you want to start the eating plan which will be based on your unique test results. The eating plan is called LEAP for Lifestyle Education and Performance because it was first used with athletes. I will discuss with you any big events you may have coming up, like a wedding, important holidays, or a vacation, and together we will decide when will be the best time for you to begin.

When people first start the LEAP protocol, I often get asked if they can eat this food or that. I love how this 3 1/2 minute video that my mentor, Susan Linke, did explains why you should eat only the tested "safe" foods in the first part of the LEAP protocol.

Food sensitivities can be expressed in a number of ways.
