Using patented technology, Spectracell's Micronutrient Test measures the amount of various vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and metabolites that the cells in your body have absorbed, not what is in your bloodstream. There is a big difference. Regular lab test measure the amount of various vitamins and minerals, like vitamin D, B12, calcium, and magnesium, etc. that is in your bloodstream at the time you were tested. It may or may not be reflective of the levels that were in your bloodstream last week, or will be next week. This is called the transient amount. When Spectracell performs their Micronturient Test, they isolate the T-cell (your body's memory cell) so they can measure the amount of the various vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and metabolites, etc. that your cells have actually absorbed over the past 4-5 months.

They also measure a bunch of them! In fact, they measure 12 vitamins, 5 minerals, 3 amino acids, 6 antioxidants, 3 indicators of your carbohydrate metabolism, 1 fatty acid, and 3 metabolites.
